New shop is getting so many spam messages

I just reopened my older shop (this one) and I am currently updating it, in a span of 10 minutes I received over 5 spam messages.
I receive approximately one every fifteen minutes. Is there anything I can do about it? I report as spam everytime but it is worrying me after my previous experience with my star seller account being hacked.

Is this normal? My main store does not get as much spam.

Re: New shop is getting so many spam messages

Spammers tend to target new shops and old ones that have been inactive for a while. Hopefully, they will slow down after a white. Just keep marking them spam, and don't click on any links in them.

Thanks, do you know how they see this?

I am so shocked at the amount of spam I am receiving. I feel bad for new sellers

It is quite bad, this hour alone I have received 4 spam messages, every 15 minutes. It is incredibly annoying.

Re: New shop is getting so many spam messages

You have reopened your shop and now no sales spammers think you are a new shop and will bother you for a while and hope that you respond or click on this they are usually sent or they are emails from Etsy with a logo to make you think that they are from Etsy. If these are actually from Etsy then they are in the inbox with the email (From Etsy) if they are not there then this is a spam mail.

@MorulaVine: As mentioned, spammers tend to target 'new' shops and new listings - while it does appear that Etsy is trying to deal with it the reality is that fake buyer accounts are being created faster than Etsy can shut them down.
