Hello! I just want to let you know that during this time that you change Etsy policy about returning 1 month , I have so many returns in 2-3 even 4 weeks , it’s just my business tern to second hand . Never been like this before. The buyers just use this policy to get the closing and using for events and return . I just lost all my interest to do my designer handmade because don’t make any sense now , just want to sell everything cheap and close my store , get exhausted from all these returns. There no protection for the sellers , and a new policy just created a lot of scams.
Put tags on your items and if they are returned without them (i.e., worn), then refuse the return. It won't stop savvy fraudsters, but it will protect you to some degree.
Make sure everything else about your shop follows the rules for protection.
what new policy are you talking about?
i am in the usa too and we do not have to have a 30 day return policy.
@nineteen27 if you sell to the EU/UK, you must abide by their rules.
yes but that is not a new policy.
Clothing is the most returned item online and accounts for around 26% on average. I would think that most shops who sell clothing online would face the same issues as sizes and their accuracy vary so much these days.
You sell to the EU/UK, you should have always had a 14 day policy for them to contact you for a return, and another 14 days to post it off back to you, that's 28 days.
the closest on etsy from the drop dowm, is 30 days, it's only a couple of days different, so I don't see how that would cause a problem.
....
If you remove the UK and the 27 EU countries from your shipping profiles, you don't need a 30 day return policy
It's not a new policy, it's a legal requirement when you sell to the EU/UK, and has been for many years
