I have been dealing with this problem for months! At first, it wouldn't immediately accept the category I chose. I discovered, though, that if I waited a few minutes and then tried again, it would allow me to choose the category and then move on.
Now, it appears, when I hit search for a category, nothing pops up to even choose from.
Then, of course, it won't allow me to save as a draft so that I can save what information I have already entered. Absolutely frustrating!
@RozieTreasures I would just pick a category and save as a draft.. it doesn't have to be the correct category to save it.
I just had that happen, to 2 listings.. they were copies of others with the correct category.. I would not let me use those same categories.. so I picked one similar and it let me save as a draft.. I need pix anyways so It can sit a couple of days til I get back to it. and If I have to I will pick category that is in the same vein if not the correct one. ( and no the categories did not change-- I listed others today in that same category).

Well, I would do that if it would allow me to choose a category, but, as I mentioned, it doesn't. Usually when you click on category, a box pops up below giving you options to pick from. No choices appear and I can't save as a draft without first filling in the category.
You could try the call back number, I don't know if you will get anyone that knows anything about your problem but you never know.
Try copying a close related listing, hopefully with the same category and see if you can go from there.
