New Listing Removed due to Violating Creativity Standard.

Jump to solution

Last week, one of my listings was removed due to a violation of the creativity standard. Over the weekend, I took new photos of my items, watermarked them with my business name, and attempted to upload the first image yesterday.

Unfortunately, the listing was deactivated again for same violation. Please note, I did not relist any deactivated listings. The images are entirely my own, and I have never posted them online before. There is no copyright infringement, as the wigs are handmade by me, which was clearly stated in the listing. I have carefully reviewed the policy and ensured that all guidelines were followed.

The deactivated listing features a wig I personally made, with no infringing terms used. I have additional images I would like to upload for other new listings, but I’m concerned about the risk of suspension. I need assistance with this matter.

Was it immediately deactivated when you posted it?  If so then it was an automated software bot, and probably due to a trigger word.

What were the title, tags and description text?

Human hair is specifically not prohibited as a material, but most other human remains are prohibited. It could be over-zealous bot programming (again) picking up the "human" keyword in materials, without considering it in context.

Etsy claim that they have human review of deactivations, so they may be reactivated after a couple of days.

If nothing happens after a few days, then appeal by going to:

shop manager > help > contact us > selling on Etsy > Managing my shop and listings > Etsy removed my listing > Etsy may have removed the listing for violating site policy

Read that, if it does not help then :

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the "I still need help" button and use that.
