I can see Etsy are pushing the new Etsy seller app, I'm assuming they'll phase out the old. I used to use the new one but it logged me out and now when I try to log in it says there is no shop associated with my log in details. There absolutely is! Anyone else had this issue or know how I successfully log in to the new app? Thanks
I have old and the new blue. So glad I never deleted the old, I have never really used it only for notice of sales when out & about, and do all things for shops on desktop where I can see and read all. Works a lot better for work arounds, which Etsy has a lot of more of than any other Ecommerce I have been selling on. If and when it is retired I just will not use the Esty apps on phone just ruins a good fun day for me.
I also hate the new version - click and scroll forever, just for a job like adding a new listing, and as for 'simpler', this must be another of Etsy's re-definition of a word! As for a 'more modern look', this is a tool for running a business, not a kitchen makeover, and I want functionality over 'look'! I am sticking with the old app for as long as possible, but it doesn't have the ability to add the new policies to individual new listings as it is no longer being updated, which means going to laptop to edit new listings.
Isn't it weird how it's always more clicks to do the same things?

The new one has so much information that we don't need and i miss the ''Activity'' - Dashboard.
I can't log in on the old app. And my phone is incompatible with the new app because it's old. Bit thoughtless on Etsy's part as I can't afford to go and buy a new phone, also not very environmentally friendly.
I'm just curious, is there a seller on the forum here that has ever been contacted by Etsy to ask the seller what functions do we have sellers want them to create or change? Any sellers that have ever been contacted to critique new software before they put it out on the platform?
As a software engineer since 1979 and owner of a e-commerce software company for 14 years developing software and managing engineers I've never seen a major corporation make so many mistakes when designing new software. I'm so glad I checked the forms before I clicked to install the new Etsy app because I suspected it probably doesn't work very well because I've seen the Etsy software managers make so so many mistakes before.
In contrast, eBay has contacted me numerous times to pick my brains as a seller and for two of their new pieces of software they developed recently they invited me to live zoom meetings with the entire software team to critique the new software before they released it to anyone.
Something is seriously broken with the way Etsy operates their software department and after 6 years of trying to contribute and help them they have convinced me they have no interest in what we have sellers think should be done.
You can give feedback on it, for what it's worth, but I suspect it never gets read because Etsy knows what's best for us (didn't you know that?!)
Former software developer here. 100% agree with everything you said. As far as I can tell, their methodology does not include requirements gathering and don't even get me started on testing which apparently isn't a big part of their development methodology either.
My problem with the new app is I can't seem to see the stat of what item was viewed or visited. The old app, you can see what listings shoppers viewed.
I downloaded the new app - then my sales dropped off - plus I wasn't getting notifications and missed a message. I tried to check if notifications were turned on but couldn't find it. So I deleted it and then downloaded the old app again and had two sales and now get notifications again! So going to stick to the old app for as long as I can!
I have tried using the new app but every time I open it they make me sign in again and it doesn’t bring me to the dashboard page. When it lists orders it lists them from old to me and I can’t figure out how to change the settings so it shows new orders first.
I tried the new app for a couple days. It's like they took the old app and scrambled it up, so you can't find anything you need to run your business. Uninstalling and focusing on efficiency during the holiday shopping season!
I really tried but I despise the new app!
