NEW Listing Form

I have had Etsy post a new listing twice. Of course I am charged for both. Nice job Etsy.

@CoralsGalleria Same! I'm on the phone -- yet again! -- with Etsy support concerning glitches with the new form (behaving like an outdated "old" form, in my opinion). I'm trying to edit a listing that I published last week.

Customer support offered two "work-arounds" to try: Only make a single change and no more, and/or shorten the description.

Neither of those worked for me. My description was already short. And when I tried to remove two of the three changes that I was trying to make to get it down to just one change, it counted the removal as more changes! So rather than subtracting from my changes it perceived the subtractions as additions! I hope that I'm explaining this clearly.

Anyway, the short answer is that Etsy says this is the number one trending topic -- the publishing glitch in the new form -- and that they haven't solved it yet.

So, essentially the only way to make edits to a previous listing is to start from scratch and pay another 20 cent fee.

None of the Etsy Support people -- although very patient -- could solve this one. I was able to solve publishing glitches. This covers the issue of not being able to publish a listing -- whether it's a new one started from scratch, or an older one that you're either editing or renewing, or one saved in drafts.

There are two "hidden" fields -- windows that have to be opened within the form -- one for Core Details and one for Shipping. If you're getting an error message telling you that something is wrong, try again later...check both of those fields. I had one listing where the year that I selected for core details "dropped off". Re-entering the year allowed me to publish. I had another listing where the shipping service that I selected had also "dropped off". I re-entered that and was able to publish. The shipping one seems to happen more often. If I save a draft or am renewing a listing I have to make sure to open the shipping window and check that the shipping service is selected.

I JUST started using the new form and was able to renew ONE listing.

The second one I tried I'm getting the "contact Etsy support" pop up.

I tried checking those two windows and it didn't help.
