Today I was about to edit some images in my PC and I fund out there was new options on the image editing.
1) The new image editing takes wayyyy to long to upload therefore extra time consuming that I don't have!.
2) Since I have all images with white background, in the crop section I have difficulties on define the crop lines and borders since you took off the "gray area" to contrast the white background and crop lines. I had to manage it by re-crop the images on Photoshop and upload them, extra time that I need to use to craft jewelry orders!!!
Please fix it ASAP!
The issue has been FIXED! Thank you Etsy....
Now let's go make jewelry and money.
If you have PhotoShop just edit your images to the correct size there. No need to use Etsy's editing or crop tools.
I use my stored original images in different dimensions for my other websites and I like to keep them that way.
It would still be quicker and easier to save a copy in Photoshop and edit there.

Obviously I saw the cropping tools, but since my images have white background, is difficult to see the edges. Originally the cropping window had light gray background.
I get a bunch of editing options that I don't need, but "transform" is not one of them. I use cropping for every new listing. Really frustrating and I hope this gets corrected asap!!!
The new cropping tool isn't working for me. It literally does nothing. It's the only Etsy editing tool I use.
Rolling Eyes
I am having problems with the cropping for the thumbnail. It won't "stay" cropped after I save it and when I exit out
Yes, lots of sellers are having this problem and supposedly Etsy is aware but it's been at least a month for me that it has been this way. I am cropping my photos to squares that fit and then hoping that if they get it fixed I won't have to redo them.
The previous cropping method was much better since it allowed for a very slight cropping which also seemed to help make the thumbnail adjustment stick. Five tries just now and finally gave up. I am, however, happy with the new filter addition.
I don't have access to the new editing tools yet. But I had used the old cropping & thumbnail adjustment tool in the past & stopped using it last year. It seems like main photos in shops were displaying wonky & it seemed to be an issue on listings where I had used the adjustment tool. I decided it was best to do all my cropping in Photoshop to avoid any Etsy tech issues that may arise later on when displaying the photos.
Having seriously bad problems here . Cannot list . Again had months before unable to list with core details page frozen seriously impacted my sales now This..Whole new format l cannot even list on . Seriously bad you can't crop photos normally and drops everything
I don't need it, because I upload photos that I finished on my photo program...
I edit my photos before uploading them, too, but sometimes they look quite different once uploaded, especially brightness, contrast, etc. so I like the new tool. BUT it takes way too long for the adjusted photos to upload. Have never used Etsy for cropping, though.
I really like it, you can brighten your pictures and crop so any size
Great addition to helping your pictures look great1
I loved loved loved the crop tool we have been using before. It was so much fun and fast. The new crop tool, spins forever, even if I look at a picture and dont need to crop it, then there is a pop up for each pix here instead of all of them, and the crop tool on this new one is too light thin and white to see. I read about the seller with the white backgrounds, that must be impossible. The crop lines are too hard on my eyes. Takes about ten times longer to just look at my photos let alone crop them. Time is money. Yes the brighten tool is cool but I can do that on my tablet before uploading my photos to etsy. Please let us have the option of using the original crop tool and listing form we have been using. Thank you k
Ditto on the crop tool.
anyone else agree?
I completely agree!
I make mine right before I upload,
My mantra here is..... not to let etsy interfere with anything I can do myself
I agree the changes are awful. I just crop my pics and it is literally taking 10x as long to complete as it did. Major problem.
More clicks, more waste of my time! Please, get back to the previous way of cropping. I don't need all those tools in Etsy. I am less productive because of them!
I can not crop any of my photos!!!!
