NEW APP FOR SELLERS..... CONTINUES WITH TECHNICAL ISSUES???

Why are we being forced to download the newer APP for sellers on smart phones?

They continue to have technical issues and the APP has a 3.5 rating. So many technical issues with Etsy yet we are forced to download another problematic system.

Please someone tell me it works at least as good as the current one we will soon have to leave.

I don't have a cell phone, so I do not download any apps.

Why do you say you are forced to download the app?

OP, I am forcing myself to use the new blue Seller app, even though I love the old one. The new one has some problems, but it will allow to list merchandise and it doesn't take too long. It won't add everything that a browser will add, but it's a work in progress. The old one will vanish one day. Change is hard.

I have technically installed the new app, because I was curious about it, but I haven't deleted the old app yet... Going to keep using it until they truly pull the plug on it! For what I am listing, the old app IS the more efficient/streamlined way for me to list.

I don’t like it, love the old orange app, please can’t update shop announcements yet on it, what’s the point in a newer app if it’s not working 100%

The old app isn't leaving, it's just not going to be tech supported nor available for download.  If I understand correctly, we will still be able to use it as is.

I hope so. I have this big sign now on my iphone APP  "TIME IS RUNNING OUT will NOT be supported after May".  Still has to be better than the new one. They rarely fix technical issues anyway.

I love what I am used to.  I have the new app and it has more features available, so am learning to like it.  Not at love, yet. Haven’t had the problems others have.

I hate the new (horrible) app. Total time wasting half baked extremely annoying and pointless. I just hate it.

It’s awful. The delay in notifications is ridiculous.

Delay in notifications, very slow loading of pictures and wonky cut and paste capabilities are my top complaints.

One out of six sales this weekend registered a notification sound on the new app. No sound or banner notifications with message or review. I have deleted and reinstalled and it just DOES NOT WORK.

My pet peeve is not being able to enlarge photos.  I use my phone when I'm packaging orders and need to be able to see, close up, the items that sold.  I could with the old app and can't with this one.  Now I have to drag my laptop along when packaging orders.  The delayed notification sucks as well.

I just use the app for the Cha-ching (my favorite sound), and to respond to messages.  Too much of a hassle for anything else.

Yes, of course this is an option; I think we all understand that.  Hoping, however, that maybe someone from Etsy will read this thread as they often do and perhaps make some modifications!  (It's tough to bring about change by being compliant.)  Never been a fan of that "your country love it or leave it" attitude.
