When I check my data line graph in Stats for today it has flatlined since 2 pm and hasn't changed.
Anyone else experiencing this?
nope, but I don't watch my stats that closely. Maybe once a day or so.
ebb & flow is part of retail, so I figure a lull is just the calm before the storm.
I think sometimes Etsy can be slow to update the stats. You may find that if you look tomorrow it will be different. Also sales are rather slow right now. I often have periods of 'nothing' with my shop.
Pretty much every day, for different periods of time. I can easily ( unfortunately) go 12-15 hours with nothing. I agree that your most accurate numbers will be sometime the next day.
I pay attention to orders but stats haven't done much for me since they were implemented. I did see that there were technical issues reported earlier in the day so perhaps that had a hand?
My visit stats just updated. Thanks for your help.
Sadly, I've had very few sales in 2024. It's flatlined since yesterday afternoon and is still down today.
Hello all, I am a new seller here on etsy
Surprised etsy does not have a dedicated thread for people to give advice to who are new to selling on etsy. I suppose people don't want to give feedback or help potential seller's in the way of improving something about each others shops
Nevermind I will keep trying, sometimes for me when I think I have some good ideas for my art nothing ever turns out a success.
((My bipolar disorder is draining last few day's and wants me to quit, as usual this bipolar disorder always wins.))
Anyway, story of my life, always talking to myself as my bipolar never shuts up. It's my worst negative, horrible ,demotivating critic.
Since my mum died a few years ago I had kind lost my zest for life and my creativeness was gone for last 5 years, as me and my mum was like best friends, we did all things crafting together, we would do all our fun crafting and creative ideas together, she was my all, then suddenly no illness or problem's with health, she was gone one morning just like that , ❤
Then it's taken me years to get creating anything again as it's painful to create without her.
Anyway, this is me a lost soul on random people's screens trying to just seek a reason to try and live ,and do something I used to love doing.
It's embarrassing for me, to say all this, but I realy have zero self respect anymore, apart from my beautiful Charlie farly my furr baby son who I saved when he was 5 weeks old, he saved me too.
Anyway ,bye bye all. And sorry if people are depressed from reading about my life . ((Randomness is me now)).
Amy.
@PixelPerfectionByAmy The forums overall are a great resource for new and old sellers alike! A lot of new sellers also request shop critiques in the specific category for those - typically a lot of great information is provided for those who request them. But you need to be sure you're ready to hear unvarnished truth, LOL - most of the advice is pretty straightforward and sugar-free.
(Regarding posters not wanting to give advice to help new sellers)
That's pretty much all we do here -- aside from the complaints about site issues.
Just look at the topics being covered on the first few pages of the forum. (Make sure you're looking at "Latest Activity.") New sellers are getting individualized advice, sometimes from direct-competitor volunteers.
Finish setting up your shop (about page, location, announcement, etc.) and then ask for a critique in the critique section.
Etsy supplies the Sellers Handbook which is choc full of great advice from Etsy.
In the forum, it's best to start a new thread in the shop critique section.
That way the feedback is more personalised to your shop. As what would work for one shop, might not work for another.
Though in every shop critique there is something that those reading it might learn and find useful to implement.
A dedicated thread would become too large to manage.
I'm sorry to hear about your mum.
I think of an Etsy shop like a snowball rolling down hill. At first everything is slow, and it takes time to get momentum. Customers don't know you're there yet.
Of all the platforms I've tried, Etsy doesn't work instantly, at least it didn't for me. Sometimes it can be really challenging with all the changes they make.
But if you really love art keep putting it out there, on Etsy and elsewhere.
I have found stats to be unreliable. Just yesterday I was showing my husband how stats had a different dollar amount than what I had sold. I think for a period of time they can give some insight, but that is about it.
