Thank you, Etsy, once again for "upgrading" and sending my shop into a tailspin. It's never an upgrade but a nightmare. My Shop Manager is not working and, therefore, I'm not getting any reviews! I have no idea how to fix this and, of course, there's no human to talk to at Etsy. I'm incredibly frustrated. This affects my sales, my shop, my Seller Status.
I think you are talking about the Dashboard page, not the Shop Manager page.
Reviews have never shown on the Shop Manager page. They are seen either on the Dashboard or on the front page of your shop.
@SweetMollyJaynes Hi, I'm confused re: "My Shop Manager is not working and, therefore, I'm not getting any reviews! "
So pardon if my response doesn't make sense. Etsy recently changed the Shop Manager. Before, it showed on one page, "Recent Activity". And under that, it would show any Reviews which came in. It also showed any Shop Favs.
But with this change in the Shop Manager, we now need an extra click to see "Recent Activity". Because when you land on the Shop Manager, you are in "Home" only. And if you want to see "Recent Activity", that is another click. Hope this makes sense, and it's what you're referring to.

@dayspringcollectible I'm just gonna put it out there and look stupid:) I always thought they were one and the same. But yes, you're right; I'm talking about the Dashboard.
Also, Etsy has futtzed with it. Every time I Sign In, and select my Shop Manager Icon, my Dashboard is blank for a short while. Then it comes into view. It wasn't like that until they changed the format.
ETA: Gulp...Top Left Column, where it says "Shop Manager" and has the 3 little lines; I clicked those lines and it collapsed that Left Column, which left me with only the Shop Dashboard showing. I clicked back on it and the Left Column magically reappeared:). So nowwww, the lightbulb is coming on. It looks like that Left Column IS the "Shop Manager", and the rest of the page the "Dashboard". Oh geeze, I always thought it was interchangeable. So I have often referred to the "space" as the Shop Manager/Dashboard. Slap me silly, LOLLL.
Clicking the Shop Manager icon brings you straight to the Dashboard page, so they are kind of one and the same.
@ChillwolfArt @TheVintagePineapple
Yes, I suppose you could say they are the same since the icon on your shop home page takes you to the Dashboard.
When I open Etsy I have my default page set as the Listings page so I forget that others have something else come up first.
Technically, the Shop Manager is the left column only. Under that are a number of pages that can be viewed, of which the Dashboard is one choice. But since the icon brings up the Dashboard as the default, you are right, they "could" be considered synonymous.
LOL! Yes, if you have the left column collapsed it would give you a very different impression of the page, wouldn't it? I always have that column open so I can quickly move from page to page.
@dayspringcollectible Definitely. I don't recall ever clicking onto those short lines next to "Shop Manager". I would see them up there and thought it was for aesthetics only....Wheee!
@ChillwolfArt @SweetMollyJaynes having worked in IT and website design, I've always understood that any page related to management of the shop is referred to as the 'Shop Manager' with the pop up menu on the left being the navigation (Shop Manager menu) that points to all other pages in the Shop Manager. The Dashboard is part of the Shop Manager and acts as an overview showing important data in one place.
Yeah, my partner was a bit confused when she wrote this and it is convoluted. The Shop Manager was not working but you're correct, that has nothing to do with reviews. In any event, Manager is back up and running but I still have no answer regarding the reviews debacle. Very frustrating.
@ChillwolfArt You are not stupid. The thing is many of us refer to the dashboard page as the shop manager. I do that even though I know that is not right. It's easier than saying dashboard because the opening of the shop manager defaults to the dashboard.
So I say it wrong too. You are in good company with the rest of us.
Please define "my shop manager is not working". What does that mean, exactly? And what have you done to try to remedy it? (Clear your cache, reboot your machine, etc?)
Granted, the post is a bit confusing ... for me as well. My partner posted it. Shop Manager is now working but wasn't. But, I still have a problem with not getting any reviews ... a friend who bought one of my pieces said she left one but did have a hard time doing so, apparently, which makes me think there's a technical glitch somewhere. Thanks for responding.
@SweetMollyJaynes -- My shop Manager is not working and so I'm getting no revies.
How does a "non-working shop manager" affect you not getting any reviews?
Reviews are given by your buyers.
Yes, I'm aware. My partner, who wrote this isn't. Good news is my the Shop Manager is working today after I shut down everything but the reviews debacle is still just that ... a debacle. I don't know what else is left for me to do to make that happen and it feels very much like an Etsy glitch. I had a problem, just two weeks ago, uploading photos and they helped me out there so, funky stuff has been happening in my shop these last two weeks. Thanks for your response.
It doesn't ... I'm aware. I did not write the post. The Shop Manager has been resolved, the review end of it, however, has not and that's concerning. It's been five weeks since I've had a review which has never happened and two friends bought items from my shop, left reviews, and they are not there and/or visible. I'm assuming it's a glitch on Etsy's end. Thanks for your response.
How is your shop manager not working? What are you trying to do that you can't?
No one needs or has access to your shop manager other than you. Buyers leave reviews via their own Purchases and review page.
You can view your reviews on your shop home page (the one that buyers see) or on the Recent Activity tab on your Shop Manager Dashboard.
The Shop Manager was not visible and I could not access it for whatever reason. Today, it's accessible and fine. My main concern, however, are the reviews that apparently are not making it to my shop. I have not had a review in over 5 weeks and two friends have bought items from my shop, told me they left reviews, and they are not there. So, there's a glitch somewhere and it's nothing that I have control over. Thanks for your response.
