Two of my listings got flagged for being in violation of "Etsy's Creativity Standards" after I renewed them after being expired. These aren't new listings.
My items are designed by me. NO AI prompts. All drawn digitally. I have them produced in china, YES I have it listed as production partners.
Some are enamel pins, some are coins, some are acrylic charms. The acrylic charms I add pin backings, magnets, and other accessories on them afterwards, so it's got an additional handmade assembly component from me.
I dont know what to do. I dont want my shop to be taken down if my current listings keep getting flagged during renewals. It also stresses me out because I fit within the Etsy's Creativity Standards
What do i do????? I messaged support but am getting no answers. I sent them screenshots of my digital drawings in Adobe Illustrator, and the proofs I work with between me and the manufacturer.
I found similar Yoshi Egg pins on AliExpress. It could be that your production partner is selling your designs. It could also be that other mass manufacturers have copied your pins. The problem is that the ones which require licensing may not be considered 'designed by you' - because you did not create that character in the first place. You also have them listed as 'made by you', which is technically incorrect (according to Etsy Creativity Standards).
OHHH, I've been using the Made by You for a long time since I designed these. Let me look into this section of what needs to be updated.
Thank you
Update: Even though I had a production partner on it already, I still listed it as made by me (since I designed these). But now I've got ahead and have is listed as made by "Another Company or Person"
I can't imagine how many listings are being taken down all across etsy because of this criteria change without good explaination of "Made By Me" is more specific to HandMade by me.
You are marketing items like Yoshi, Maneki, Kirby... Do you have permission from their creators to replicate these icons? If not, you cannot recreate and sell their likeness.
Geez don’t people get it. It’s not your work is someone who is sleeping over the computer to design create a new character for you to use and market at your convenience. I don’t think so.
what was it? I see a few of your items that are trademarked. One is Maggi Sauce is trademarked by Nestles.
You have lots of trademark infringement in your shop
@CurryRini: You need to keep in mind that "violated Etsys creativity standards" can encompass much more than just if it is handmade. The violation can be anything from a 'prohibited' word in your title, description, or tags, to a non-conforming primary image, to being misclassified in core details, to intellectual property infringements, and lot in between.
At least a few of your items look like they are infringing on other people's intellectual property because you list no licensing and you do not even acknowledge the trademarks as someone else's property. Perhaps this was the case with the deactivated listings?
Pokemon, Kirby, Yoshi / Nintendo ... yikes
Siracha, Spam, Maggi. Protected brands perhaps
Sailor Moon's Luna, Avatar the Last Airbender, Cells at Work, Spirited Away (Studio Ghibli), The Muppet's Beaker, Pacman, Final Fantasy's Chocobo...
sigh ok, that's a good point on those ones, i'll let those slowly expire on their own and not relist.
But that doesn't explain why my Vietnamese Pho and Soup Dumplings were the ones that were flagged

Oh and yes about the Yoshi Egg pin. I've designed over 120 pins over the last 8 years and Two have been copied onto AliExpress, one being the Yoshi Egg.
@CurryRini you are still violating Etsy standards. You don't own the rights to the images you are creating. These items will get shut down and, worse, you will get sued by the owners of these images (nintendo, pokemon, siracha...). Do you feel like going toe to toe in court with their lawyers?
you may have drawn it, but who's IP was the source material?
