My offsite ads views and sales have severely decreased since March 10th, so I went to google one of my products. Under google shopping it showed up as out of stock (which it is not even close to being out of stock) - AND when you click on it, it takes you to a different Etsy store. Is this an etsy issue - or a google issue? And who can help? Any insight - especially from Etsy support would be really appreciated, as sales from offsite ad's made up a large portion of my sales.
Thank you!
Etsy support does not answer questions in Forums. You are addressing other sellers, as the section is for peer support. You may contact Etsy directly if you would like them to address the question.
I have seen other sellers report the same experience that you had in Forums. I do not recall what the responses/explanations were, or even if there were any.
Sometimes they use one shop's photo to represent an entire category of products on Etsy. Were you taken to a search page full of results for whatever you were searching for, or were you actually in another person's shop?
I've noticed it in Google for other venues as well. Annoying when you click on an item and it won't direct you where you want to go.
You will have to give us the title of the product and what terms you Googled, so we can check.
Was it on Google Shopping or in regular Google search, or Google Images?
It’s definitely a combined Google / Etsy issue … both are to blame because when you ask either entity, they both blame each other. I have been a victim of this issue for many years and have yet to have it solved because nobody wants to take responsibility for it. There is a certain FB member who is pictured as me, but is not me … they have never been a customer of mine, but for some reason they come up as me! I don’t get it, and have no idea how to solve it!
