@ShirleysBears: Your shop is indexed, and while it is almost impossible to outguess the search algorithm, one has to wonder if primary image quality is at least a small factor in the placement of your listings.
"I'm usually on the first page." You need to give up on the concept of Etsy search providing the results that you expect. Due to "personalized searches" there are many many factors that affect listing placement and the relative weight of each factor probably changes constantly. Even exact word matches to your title no longer ensure that you will appear in search results. Etsy is proud of the fact that they provide search results which they think you will actually purchase regardless of what you actually searched for.
Plus when the algorithm keeps seeing that you are not purchasing the items it shows you it will eventually stop showing them to you.
"does anybody know what to do?" All you can really do is make sure that your listings comply with the latest rules / suggestions. Perhaps the biggest impact you can make is to drive your own traffic and sales so that the algorithm learns that people want what you are selling.
