The sliding banner photos for 'about this shop' which are usually at the bottom of my main shop page seem to have disappeared, or at least they have to me, can someone have a look please and see if you can see anything? thank you.
@thewoollydog I checked your About photos; they were gone. I did a Hard Refresh Ctrl+F5, and they came back (desktop computer, Chrome). My own came back after the Hard Refresh, but vanished again. Boo!
ETA: I tried the Hard Refresh on my own again just now. All my pics came back except for one of them. This is crazy.
@ChillwolfArt That's true, and it needs a proper fix. But I've often wondered how many customers actually scroll down that far. I think I only do it because I am a seller.
@DaysofYoreTreasures and @ChillwolfArt I suspect few Buyers ever scroll so far down so as to be able to read the "About" section, especially when using a mobile device. Of course the "About" section is important for establishing the bona-fides of and pointing to the professionalism of a Shop/Seller, but, given that most Sales come from the Search Thumbnail and not many people actually enter a Shop to "look around", I am not overly worried about this "glitch". I am sure, like most things here, there will be a silent "fix" sometime soon.
@DaysofYoreTreasures@CarpetCollectionAU There's definitely fiddling around going on. In search results, suddenly thumbnails are rectangular (no longer square). While in Shop Fronts, thumbnails are still square. This Thread is about the "About Page" photos, and I don't want to stray from that, but after seeing rectangular thumbnails just now, I think multiple things are going on with photos.
@ChillwolfArt I still see square images in search. I think I will have a fit if they change that again because I list new items nearly every day and I have been ignoring the rectangular thumbnail preview in favour of getting the entire image to look good.
Mine were gone again today. I did a Hard Refresh Ctrl+F5; at first they did not come back. I repeated that a couple more times. My photos reappeared. It didn't last long though, gone again.
Something else was different today as well. In our Policies, the portion about Etsy Payments. In some Shops I looked at, that portion was flush Left on the page (instead of in the middle). In my own Shop, it was in the middle as usual. Definitely fiddling going on.
I took a look, and they are not there for me, using Firefox on Windows. I took a look in my shop for the same, and mine has disappeared also. Is it a glitch or a browser issue?
That's may be because of etsy's new updates on the website. Even my community section is missing on my PC browser. But it's available on the etsy seller app. Etsy is getting too many updates or may be glitches at this time.
@NancyQstudio Thanks for letting me know. The other day, I looked at my shop in "edit" mode and it shows the pics are still there. But they don't show up in a "live" view. So I figured there was probably no point in trying to reload them. I wish they would fix this bug.
