My Etsy helper messaged me with a link to my product

I don't know if this is something to worry about or not but I'm confused. I just got a message from the Etsy helper with a link to one of my products that I just posted. What does it want me to do, or is it a scam?

What is Etsy helper??? Never heard of it. Was it in your folder for Etsy messages? If not, it is a scam.

Was this message in the "From Etsy" folder? 

If yes, it's a legit message from Etsy. But I can't imagine why they would send you the link to your listing.

If not, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK! It's most probably a scam, which is potentially harmful for your Etsy shop, personal and financial information security. If you clicked the link, you may want to change your password.

Edited to add. Smiley in one of your listings is trademarked. And you can't use Taylor Swift name to make money if you don't have a permission.

Like others have said, I've never heard of this either. Advise not to click the link as it sounds like a scam. New shops are fodder for scammers.

There have been other sellers who have also received messages from ''Etsy Helper'' along with a link to their newly-published listing.  It could either be from a scammer or spammer (probably both), but none of those messages were in the ''from Etsy'' folder.  This ''helper'' wants to help sellers optimize their shops and seo.  Since the sellers did not go beyond the initial message, it's not known if it would've been a scam to get financial info or someone who would eventually ask for money in return for so-called help.

If your message was not in the ''from Etsy'' folder, put it in spam.

There's no such thing as an Etsy Helper, as far as I know.

Check your messages inbox on a computer or through a browser (not on the app). If it's not in the "from etsy" section of your inbox, it's a FAKE and a SCAM.

I have learned to trust nothing in messages or email I didnt ask for. They could be offering free listing fees for a year and I wouldnt click it. To many scams.

"Etsy Helper" is the new "Etsy Support" scammers' ID. Also, be on the lookout for attached images which contain the "scam" instructions. Looks like an attempt to circumvent the Etsy "scam" filtering of messages

Seems like POD shops get targeted by these scammers more than any other type of shop.

I had 2 of these 'Helper' messages yesterday and I don't sell POD but this is my newer shop. Each message was for new listings.

Both messages were correctly sent to Spam by Etsy. The only reason I even saw them was I've been checking the spam folder daily because legitimate customer messages are being incorrectly sent there at the moment.

I just had this and completely made the mistake of clicking it and it will try to get you to input your card. Do not click. It's a scam. Etsy support does not message through normal messages. They message the through the etsy tab below the message tab. Never click links in messages that lead you outside of the app or website. Fortunately I have safeguards to keep me safe so I didn't lose any money but could've easily had I not.

I just got the same message. I thought it was spam since it actually had a UK address in the link.

I have had the exact same problem since I opened shop- my messages have been disabled again yesterday after replying to a message to a new shopper enquiry - which again in hindsight may have been suspicious, but did not appear to be so - am sick of this thing messages disabling - have been sending all to spam and still getting disabled messages happening, why is contacting the Help Center so difficult - never seem to find the right spot, this is the only area where it seems you can get a real person- thank you for your help if you can give it - most appreciated???

I got a message from etsy shop helper about a listing that saying that it is a uk listing. The message also said that my shop is suspended from and needs verification. What I found strange is that the message came after this listing was made but I have other listings but on different items. Why would I get a message about just one of the listings if they are the same?

@TripleAGiftGiving: Was the message in the "From Etsy" section on your Messages page when checking messages using a browser? If not, it is a SCAM.

By the way, if you check your shop home page you will see if is not suspended. A suspended shop will have all of its listings hidden with a message from Etsy displayed.

I love the idea of deluging the spammers with random messages but be careful. I've read posts about people's message privileges being suspended. Hard to tell what triggers that.

Oh I would love to have an "etsy helper" to sell my art! But I agree this message most likely a spam/scam.
