Missing some message notifications?

I had noticed it 2 days ago, I was working on my shop when I saw an unread message from a few hours ago and checked my email and there was nothing, also not in my spam filter. I thought it was odd because normally the notifications are very reliable but lo and behold, there was another one today. I had 3 messages from different people and only received 2 emails, the 3rd one never came. 
The weird thing is that this message also did not pop up in my app notifications and the others ones did, this is what made me miss it.

The message were not sent at (roughly) the same time causing a potential glitch, there were hours in between the messages.

It is a bit annoying with all this tech that I would still have to go into the app to physically check for messages to be sure that I did not miss anything.

Anyone else experiencing something similar?

It's happened to me this year, I believe it was scam, and Etsy desactivated their account and their messages had disappeared before I had time to read them. Not a 100 % sure.

@LePourquoiDuComment this was different, the message was actually there, in my Etsy messages and it was a message from a previous customer so it was definitively legit, I just did not get any notification from it and the messages before that, 2 of them worked just fine, I received the email and the notification from the app, just not this one.

It happened about a month or 2 ago. The message alert did not appear till about 2 days after it was sent (no email though), but then again nor did the message. It appeared in the spam folder, but could see from the date that they actually sent it two days before it actually appeared (I check at least once or twice a day, it was not there).

Luckily it was a request I would have declined anyway, so left it in the spam folder as moving it would have just set of the stat police.

well I might just write it off as a glitch then, it is just weird that it happened twice in one week.

@swatchoclock It has happened to me in one of my shops this week. I went to do some work on listings and noticed the red message dot, but nothing came through on my ‘phone, which is what normally alerts me to a new message. Luckily it hadn’t been there very long, so I was able to deal with it quickly. It never did appear on my ‘phone, either

Yes me too. Just noticed a message from last night that I didn't get a notification for. I'm in the UK.

I just found one too. Some years ago a lot of Sellers were having the same issue, Sales and Convos, But no emails of notification. Never did find out what the root cause was, but hoping to Not have a repeat.....

You usually get notifications?

They are the exception rather than the rule for our shop, all of Etsy's email notifications are very sporadic.

The only notifications with any reliability are from the forum, which is not run by Etsy.

I have been having the same issue since yesterday. No notifications from the Etsy app when a customer messages, no email sent from Etsy Conversations. Thankfully I caught the little red icon...I came on here specifically to report this issue.
