Missing Orders

a lady has a receipt for an order I have not received. How can this happen?

It can't, if you can't find the order its a scam and should be reported to Etsy

Not your problem to fix.

1.  If the order is pending, Etsy will let your know when the order comes through.
2. If it's an actual error, the lady needs to contact Etsy, because Support won't discuss it with you.  
3. There is always the possibility it is a scam too.  Scammers can and do fake an Etsy order in Photoshop, and send a "screenshot" of the fake.

Whatever the reason, until it shows on your end, there is no order for you to deal with.

Mistake or scam.  If she showed you a receipt, and it's not an order that is processing, it's probably a scam.
