Messed Up Orange Circle Reminder Numbers

UGH! Etsy I am so over the orange circle reminders and numbers when I cannot turn them off and they don't even match up. When I am looking at my storefront and look at the shop manager icon at the top right, there is a circle with a 2 in it. However, when I go in to the shop manager there is only 1 orange circle with a 1 on it in the finances area. That finance area reminder has been there forever and never goes away even though there is nothing there that I can find that needs any updating. So where is the 2 on the shop icon coming from when the dashboard only shows that 1 reminder that is forever lingering on finances?

ENOUGH! The reminders are a major annoyance when they never go away and don't even add up from one place to another.

One of those could be a review reminder for something you bought within the past 3 months or so.

Mine stayed up 14.5 weeks before it finally went away.

I don't think that is what it is @leinweberstudio because I have a circle with a 3 in it over our shop avatar which is just to the right of the shop manager icon that has the circle with a 2. Three is the number of still open purchases not reviewed.

@leinweberstudio  It is funny not funny that only on Etsy could reminders be turned in to mysteries. I'm so very tired of all the glitches.

Thanks @ChillwolfArt I'm not surprised others have problems. I'm also not surprised I couldn't find such a thread when I was looking here on the forums. Search here on the forums is just so awful.

@BirdsongEmporium   Your Welcome.  I know; when I searched for Threads, I didn't want to pull up older ones (Admin comes along and deletes them).  So this one was pretty recent.  But I often have trouble finding what I'm looking for when doing a Search for Threads.

Sometimes they give you an orange circle with a number for a an announcement from Etsy in your Shop Advisor section .

Good idea @SmudgePlant but I had 3 things there and after xing them all out, I'm still showing 2 things on my shop icon while out in the shop but just 1 while I'm on the shop dashboard page.

Hmm @SmudgePlant along that line of thinking, I do have two banners on my dashboard with Etsy wanting me to give feedback about shop links or for getting the Etsy app. I have no means of xing those out and don't wish to follow through with what Etsy is asking me to do. So grrrr if either of those is causing the mystery reminder notice.

Usually if it's something that Etsy gives an orange circle with a number in it there's also a number by the blurb in the Shop Advisor.

Nope there wasn't anything like that @SmudgePlant. I have no idea where that mystery reminder is supposedly coming from.

I'm sure you already double checked your messages but sometimes they give you that weird little pop up at the bottom of the page of a new message and then they assumed you saw it.

LOL @SmudgePlant we so rarely get messages that our current star seller badges do not include the one for messages because we went 3 months with no messages. We had one a few days ago which was responded to and now there is nothing new in messages again and the reminder that had been there for the message cleared out.

Thanks again for the message @SmudgePlant. So the mystery number is not connected to messages at all. The shop avatar went from 3 to 4 which is 3 open reviews and then the new incoming message. That went back down to 3 again after I responded to your message. The reminders on the shop manager icon stayed at 2.

ETA Whoa now wait a minute. Now after a few minutes the shop icon one has gone down to 1 which is weird because if it was due to the message it didn't increase before it finally went down ???

Just got a sale and now the storefront shop icon says 3 while the shop dashboard shows just 2 reminders. So the storefront shop icon reminder is going up properly but where is the mystery reminder coming from ???

For months now ever since the finance one showed up when we were asked to verify our banking, our shop reminder numbers have never cleared out. This is really annoying Etsy to have reminders that cannot be identified / cannot be cleared.

LOL @SmudgePlant we are sadly down to one rabbit since one died a year ago but our remaining bunny just got her treats and headed off to bed for the night.
