My messages aren't always sending. The app has a glitch! Means I missed out onstar seller...I'm gutted

We've double-checked the app that you're using to access your shop, and it appears that it is outdated.
In cases like this, we strongly recommend reinstalling the Etsy Seller app on your mobile device, which often resolves these kinds of issues. Once the app has been uninstalled, you can reinstall it by visiting the Apple Store on your iOS phone(here) or in Play Store app if you're using an Android phone(here).
For Android devices, we would also recommend that you completely wipe all Etsy Data. You can checkout this link for more details.

Is it essential that you use the app? I use a PC but even if all you have is a "device" you can still use the browser on your device instead of the app.
@TheCraftyMummyGB: Are you getting any sort of an error message?
If the unanswered new thread is not a Help Request, at least for the time being, it appears that marking an unanswered new thread as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two (but not retroactively) if the original message was within the current star seller period. Note that subsequent messages from that account may go directly to the SPAM folder.
