The customer assumes the seller can see the item, and I've had to ask the customer which item they're referring to each time. I've tried multiple browsers, doesn't show up on desktop or mobile app. I have had this issue for a while now, but it used to not be an issue in the past.
I think it depends on how the shopper initiated the message. If they initiate the message from the individual product page it should show the product but if they initiate the message from your shop front page it won't.
Sometimes these are not genuine messages to engage you, then either hit you with spam about how they will promote your shop for you, or try to scam you, and another I have seen is asking you to transfer your shop to them for a price (not allowed on Etsy).
Be very careful, it could be a scammer trying to contact you. Have them send you a screen shot, but do not click any links or QR codes if they sent those to you. Those take you offsite, and they try to get your email or banking info.
This happens all the time and it’s a glitch with the app can you fix it please?????
I am referring specifically to messages sent by customers about a certain item. And it is a techincal issue because sometimes the message will show up later on with the product link at the top.
I had one yesterday. There was no product link to let me know what item they were asking about.
