We do the majority of our customer correspondence via the phone app.
Lately I have noticed that many messages are going directly to our SPAM folder without alerting us, and our Star Seller rating is now taking a hit as we have responded outside of the 24 hour window.
The SPAM folder is not accessible via the app. How can this get fixed?
@whitedeercraftsmn: "How can this get fixed?" The consensus is that a seller needs to check their shop for messages and orders at least daily via a browser (even their mobile browser) until (some say if) these issues are resolved.
Supposedly these Messages sent to SPAM in error do not negatively affect your Star Seller stats. See the 'solution' by MurphyGardens at https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Non-spam-ends-up-directly-in-Spam-folder/td-p/1451063...
I wish that they didn’t affect the rating, but we got slammed with a couple stuck in SPAM that knocked us out of Star Seller next month…
Can someone from Etsy please respond? I have evidence that it is still hurting ratings.
Unfortunately that isn’t the case. We have several messages that got stuck before we knew about this and it knocked us out of Star Seller contention.
Can someone from Etsy please respond? I have evidence that it is still hurting ratings via logs and message text.
@whitedeercraftsmn: "Can someone from Etsy please respond?" Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).
You will need to contact Etsy customer service / support to resolve this. A suggestion was made to NOT mention Star Seller as doing so seems to negatively affect the ability to get these kinds of issues resolved.
That’s great to know. Thank you!
