Hello Everyone, 

My Messages chatbox is disabled, how do I reactivate my messages Chatbox?

If Etsy disabled your messages, you can't. 

You have NO SALES, so no customers.

Did you send coupons or offers to "potential" customers? Did you ask for someone's email address? Did you go into a competitor's shop and start messaging people who left feedback? Message people who favorited your items??

With Etsy's "Messages", you have the ability to communicate directly with your buyers or other Etsy members. Messages are a great way for buyers to ask you questions about an item or an order.

Messages may not be used for the following activities:

1. Sending unsolicited advertising or promotions, requests for donations or spam;
2. Harassing or abusing another member or violating our Anti-Discrimination Policy;
3. Contacting someone after they have explicitly asked you not to;  
4. Interfering with a transaction or the business of another member;
5. Exchanging personal contact, financial or other information for the purposes of evading the checkout process on Etsy, including phone number, address, email, social media handles, external URLs, instructions for money transfer, etc.

@AmbarBlissCreations: As NanaLetha asked, are you referring to Etsy messaging or Etsy Chat (with customer service)?

If you are asking about messaging, and you are getting the "Bummer, your messages have been temporarily disabled" advisory you have been muted.

Not to discount the fact that messaging may have been disabled in error, generally it is because the system has detected that an account has been sending unsolicited non-transactional messages. If you have not yet done so, you may want to read the "Dos and Don'ts of Communicating With Customers" https://www.etsy.com/seller-handbook/article/26590492608

There does not appear to be a published time for how long messaging is muted and based on posts in this forum it can vary greatly.

Again based on other posts, Etsy does not seem to view support requests based on user violations as a priority.

@AmbarBlissCreations  Are people sending you messages and you can't reply? Or - are you trying to send new messages?

I received scamer messages and i did not reply to any one.

Mark them as spam.
