I was wondering if anyone else's message response time is off. Mine is saying I am below the 95 % rate and when I went back to check, I am responding well within the 24 hr mark-most of the time it is within 30 minutes to 4 hrs so I am at a loss at how this is accurate. Not earth shattering but still annoying when I know that it isn't correct and no way to have it fixed.
Download your CSV, and it will tell you which message you missed. Other sellers have reported that genuine messages are in the spam folder, you may have missed one.
@UStamp2: "Message response time is way off!" Are you basing this on the applicable CSV file available on your Customer Service (Star Seller) page? When you look at the file remember that that the dates / times are in UTC (not your time zone), only the first message of a new incoming thread is included (all that counts for Star Seller), and usually a new incoming thread is not included until after the 24 hour reply window has passed regardless of when you replied. Star Seller stats (and the CSV file) are updated only once per day so there may be an additional day's delay. There is also a link to the actual message thread so you can verify if the data is correct or not.
It’s not just you. I just looked at my message response rating and it still says, like it has for the past two months, _ _% even though I get messages almost daily and I always answer within two hours depending on the time zone the messenger is in. I talked to Etsy customer service about this and the person I texted with said to just give it a couple days and check it again. That was two weeks ago and it still says _ _ %. I give up. If anyone has poor customer service and snail pace response time it’s Etsy.
@mayababyjewelry: Usually '--%' means nothing to calculate and it will not prevent you from obtaining Star Seller (just won't get the Speedy Response badge, obviously).
Keep in mind that the Star Seller metric is NOT all new messages but only the first message of all new incoming threads. A new incoming thread is not counted until after the 24 hour reply window has passed regardless of when you replied. Star Seller stats (and the CSV file) are updated only once per day so there may be an additional day's delay.
Set up an auto-reply. That might catch ones you miss.
