I got a repeated email from a vendor wanting me to sell his product in July. This was the 3rd or 4th email from him in 2 months. I replied immediately to the other ones telling him I was not interested. OK, so my message response rate dropped and I lost my Star status for August. I found out I could mark these messages as spam and did so with that message. End of August I was at 95%, September 1 it was 92%! It has remained that way since even though I have been totally compliant with the messages I have been sent. I would like to regain my Star status again for Oct but this is going to prevent it. Help please.
It's math.
Star Seller is calculated by a rolling 3 month period.
One month dropped off, and the message you didn't answered remains in the calculation period.
Well, now my message response rate is down to 86%. It ended Aug at 95%, Sept 1-30 it was 92%. Oct 1 it was 86%. I have had no further missed or late responses since 8/4/23. I understand the 3 month time frame but why would the rate continue to decrease?
I apologize for this question. I did miss a message by several hours while on vacation. I don't use vacation mode because it shuts down the shop totally so I make sure I have someone to fill orders when I am gone.
You shouldn't leave your shop attended.
At the very least, set up an automated message response when you are away so this doesn't happen again.
I am on call 24/7 for my other job so checking emails and alerts is second nature, anywhere or anytime. I saw that it was this man who repeatedly emailed me about buying his product and choose to reply later, even though I was on vacation. My bigger error was not marking it as spam right away so it would be flagged. Thanks for your information.
