My concern is as a Etsy seller , I also buy on Etsy and seems the message thread does not differentiate: Example: I buy and message from seller comes with information that does not require my response. It has nothing to do with my shop, and I get marked for not responding. Is there a way to remedy this?

The star seller info clearly states every new message must be answered or put into spam. It doesn't make any difference if buyer or seller.

The only way to remedy this is to reply to ALL messages.
It's been this way for 1 1/2 years.
It's very clear on your dashboard and on the help pages that All NEW messages need a reply or either mark as spam.
It doesn't matter if from a shopper, a customer, another seller or a friend.
