Hello,
I received an email from Trust and Safety Agent Etsy Trust & Safety https://www.etsy.com/help
It informed me that Etsy disabled my 3 items that they do research to not be with gold from Russia and not would violate I don't know what commercial agreements.
I looked in the listing and I had 3 items that they were disabled by Etsy.
I answered that they are not materials from Russia.
After a few hours I received a reply and he thanked me for my cooperation, asked me to remove some words from the description of those items, Russian and gold, and gave me a link, apparently leading to a list of inactive items in my store.
The expressions from mail seems very polite, I'm not a native English speaker and I can't detect other language quirks.
I replied that I will never enter that link.
I removed the required words, but I don't care to activate those items.
And I replied that I think he is a hacker.Has this happened to you before?
I can't find a similar example at all among other discussions.
Does this Trust and Safety Agent exist?
You can't use the words Russian or Russia on Etsy any more so the message was genuine.
Always go to your shop manager instead of clicking on any links in an email even if you think it is a genuine message from Etsy.
There are trade embargos with Russia
you can't sell anything that says it is Russian
