Mensaje recibido de Etsy team

Buenas tardes,

He recibido un mensaje de Etsy team diciendo que había hecho una venta, pero que necesita para actualizar que le envie mi correo electrónico. Sabéis si es una estafa? Gracias

Mark as Spam and do not reply. This isn't from Etsy, it is a scam. Etsy already has your email so why would they ask for it?

Re: Mensaje recibido de Etsy team

This is a scam. Thieves are pretending to be Etsy staff. This scam has been ongoing since at least July 2023. Messages from Etsy will show up in your mailbox titled "From Etsy".

Real Etsy staff will never ask for your email address because they already have it. Also, any actual orders will show up on your dashboard. If the sale is not displayed on your dashboard, you don't have a sale.

Don’t respond or provide any personal or financial information. Don't click any links that take you off the Etsy site. Send the message to spam.

If you have provided any financial information, immediately contact your bank to report fraud on your account!

Make it part of your daily routine to visit the forums. You can learn about ongoing concerns, problems, glitches, and scams. Stay informed!

@SandraCruzArtista: It is NOT an order - real orders will show up on your Orders & Shipping page and your Payments page.

It is a SCAM - you might want to read the excellent post by @bradgoodell  in https://community.etsy.com/t5/Managing-Your-Shop/How-to-Spot-a-Scam-No-a-Buyer-Doesn-t-Need-Your-Ema... and https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Why-do-they-ask-me-for-my-e-mail-in-order-to-make-a-p...

There is also official information from Etsy at https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000343128-How-to-Handle-Spam-and-Suspicious-Messages?segm...
