Mass Edits Not Taking

I am trying to add a sentence to all of my listing descriptions.    Only the first listing would take.  I backed it down to editing only five listings, and they don't take either.  Does this happen often?

Yes, ever since I can remember anyway. Sometimes, it just take a little time so wait a few mins before redoing. I do my edits by sections instead or keep it under 100 items at a time. It just seems to work better.

It has been a while since I did a bulk edit of text. The last time I did I noticed it did not update my listings. After some fiddling, I found my text was too long. I had to split the text into two sections and update by adding the first section, then adding the second section.
