Hi
I haven't listed on Etsy for awhile, so my back is hurting
from sitting at the keyboard trying to create a vintage
postcard listing with all the details required. Finally got it
posted, then clicked 'copy', saved the copy to drafts, then
tried to use the draft to create a similar listing, changing
the title, pictures and description of course, as well as the price.
I previewed it, then listed it. Without warning it completely
replaced the first listing, which I now have to do over again.
Surely I am not getting something. Must I create each listing
from scratch? That will take forever. Please advise.
best,
Rebecca
I always use the cog icon on the listing manager pages to make a copy.
In the old version, it comes up with 'copy' at the end of the title at the top of the page.
In the new version, it has 'copy of ....' at the front of the title and a 'view the original' button on the right hand side.
Whichever way you do it, make sure you can see COPY somewhere before you start editing. For clarity, I'm on a laptop/browser. I have no idea what it looks like on the app.
Make 1 listing and publish it. Then use the duplicate feature. Use a browser not the app.
I use my computer. For some reason the copy doesn't always copy the first time.

Thank you. I noticed I was losing listings by not making sure I was creating on a copy. This saves a lot of time and effort.
