I've noticed that the way the main listing images are being displayed within the etsy app (doesn't seem to be a problem with the website) seems to have changed within the last week. All main images when you click on the listing, and also within the shop now appear in a square format where the sides have been cropped off the image. Within search all images still appear in the correct 4:3? format. The rest of the images in the listing appear to show correctly. Is it just a glitch with my app or is anyone else seeing this problem? I looked at a bunch of other people's listings and all have the same problem.
Not sure if that is a glitch or not, but Etsy is CONSTANTLY testing things, and I remember cropping images as being one of their tests in the past. Many people were irritated because some important things would get cropped off the images and shops had to find better ways of showing off their products. Maybe you are in one of Etsy's endless tests.
I don't know what's going on with the listing anymore. I just listed a few new drawings and the sizing is all off kilter. Does anyone know what the max size a photograph can be nowadays?
I have the buyer app on my phone and the images are all in the usual 8:10 ratio.
I noticed the same thing, not sure this is short term pr permanent. very frustrating
I have the same issue - whats the solution ?
