Main Photo Super Zoomed in all of a sudden

All of a sudden, a lot of my listings main photo is crazy zoomed in.

I haven't changed anything on my end and these listings have been up for years.

Anyone else?

Like I said, I have done nothing and it is only some of my listings.

I am really hoping this is a crazy glitch.

This has been reported as an ongoing issue. . Same as 'blacked out' listing photos, and a weird pink stripe down the side of some... Etsy have changed things around again (reviews under items, etc) and it's messed other things up... As usual! lol

Yesterday all of a sudden my listing main photo displays are also showing super zoomed in affecting being able to see the display as intended. When I click to edit and re-arrange order of listings they get reverted to display normally but upon save show zoomed out listing again. So frustrating :$

It's being weird. I went to edit a listing and when I clicked on it it threw me into a different listing. And some of my thumbnails are super small or super large. I just stopped editing and will wait it out, lol.

I am using both Chrome and Edge and my thumbnail pictures are super blown up in both browsers.  The inside pictures are ok.  Please tell me this is just a glitch you are working on now to resolve.  My product images are really distorted.

Etsy has gone to the new square format for first photos as of August 1st. So the photo will be cropped. So for future photos you will need to take them zoomed out more, leaving room for Etsy to square crop them without losing anything. Reason for the new square photos according to Etsy...... ready for it..... because people are more likely to buy if the photo is square. I have no words...

I would love to know more about the study or studies done to support 'more likely to buy if the photo is square.'

Wonder if there is a study showing what people are likely to do when the photo is a square cropped from a rectangle cutting off parts of the photo.

All my thumbnails are square but the main photos look zoomed and a lot is missing..

I closed my shop for the summer and when I returned all of my photos are crazy zoomed in. I was completely closed up, so this is obviously not on my end and with listings that I've had up for years. Sooo frustrating. Makes me a little sad that I'm even giving Etsy another chance. It's always endless frustrations like this.
