Lost my Star Seller badge in April – can't understand why

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit confused and hoping someone can help me figure this out.

My shop had the Star Seller badge for February and March, but now in April, it's gone — and I can’t see why. According to Etsy’s own rules, to be eligible I need:

  • At least 5 orders in the past 3 months - Done!

  • At least $300 USD in sales - Done!

  • 95% message response rate within 24h — Mine is blank (I don’t know why, I haven’t ignored any messages) - ? 

  • 95% on-time shipping with tracking — I have 100%

  • Review average of 4.8+ — Mine is 5.0

  • Case rate: 0

So I clearly meet 4 out of 5 criteria, and I should meet the 5th one too — but Etsy is showing my message response rate as “—%”, like it’s not tracking it at all. That’s the only metric missing. I haven’t received many messages lately, but I always reply quickly when I do.

I also checked the “Current review period” (Feb 1 to April 30), and again — everything’s perfect except the response rate, which shows nothing.

Has anyone else had this issue? Could it be a bug?
I’d appreciate any advice or clarification. I’m doing everything right and would love to keep my Star Seller badge.

It's unlikely they will fix it for this month, though, based on the way they have dealt with errors in the past.

You have no badges.  Are you sure you met the quantity and dollar requirements for January - March?

@4evermusiclove: "---%" means nothing to calculate not 0%. (Keep in mind that the Star Seller metric is NOT all new messages but only the first message of all new incoming threads.) This should not disqualify you from Star Seller if you met all of the other criteria, just from that specific badge. Are the stats you are quoting from the 'Previous Review Period' (which the April 1st badges and star are based on)?

Metrics for Jan - Feb - March are what's counted for the star seller badges to show up on April 1 ... if you are missing anything, you can download the CSV for each metric to see where you are failing.  More info here @ https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/search?query=star+seller&utf8=%E2%9C%93&segment=selling

Have you checked your spam folder? There have been occasions when legit messages were accidentally put into  spam.

I have the same issue. I meet all of the criteria and still no badge and no reply on chat

There has to be a glitch.  So many people on this forum are having an issue.  It needs to be addressed.

@BeadablesByMimi every month there are tons of threads when people do not get Star Seller. 

Even if there is a bug on Etsy's part, they only fix it going forward. 

How many new messages does your csv show?

No need to feel confused, this is their way, it won't change now, it will get worse every year. I have been here for 14 years! You go to customer service, and there is an absolutely official reply.... Believe me, I am very disappointed with this! No matter how good the service you provide, this is the final result...
