Lost Star Seller status due to Etsy not recognizing carrier in system

Jump to solution

Hello! I have been a Star Seller for a while and was shocked to find out that I lost my Star Seller status due to tracking numbers not being recognized by Etsy's system! According to the Etsy system 14 orders were missing tracking info, but this is not correct. I have always shipped every order out with tracking. The tracking information of each order is easy to track on 17track and parcelsapp. It seems that the carrier I used is not recognized by Etsy for some reason, so I switched to another one that does always get recognized and will be shipping with them from now on. Is it possible to fix the shipping order breakdown for my shop and get my Star Seller status back? I hope to get help! Best regards, Nora

I lost my statusvtoo and constantly calling Etsy to update it which takes two days and end of month sales not done in time. Talking to local USPS supervisor, I learned their mail isn't accepted until it reaches the next leg of it's trip. So I ship right away and send buyer a private note w tracking info. Then the next day I look up their tracking number and if it shows it's arrived somewhere else, I then send them the official Etsy notice. Sometimes the mail isn't individually scanned but done by the truck. Then on tracking look for a message to show it's processed. Generally il sending the Etsy message no later than the next day. I have changed my ship date to 1-3 days going into the busy holiday season as a cushion. Etsy escalated my concerns to no avail. I've found although this takes extra steps it's better than calling Etsy all the time and waiting two days for it to update. Hope this insight is helpful!  Lois

You can lose your star seller for a variety of reasons.  You have DHL listed as a production partner and they are a shipping company.  Also, production partners take a design your make and produce it NOT a company you buy from and resell items.  Also IF you have a license from Disney, Harry Potter, Sailor Moon and others, you need to have that information included.  Your shop not only can lose the Star Seller badge, it could be shut down permanently.
