My Star Seller badge has been lost because a customer sent me the same message twice, which I did not realise and now I have gone below the threshold because I have technically not responded to a message in over 48 hours
I there anything I can do about this? Thanks in advance!
Mark the extra message as spam now, and hopefully it will readjust itself.
Set an autoreply if you don't feel that you can answer messages in a timely manner.
In the future answer both messages, even if they are the same. One reply can read "See your other message thread."

Thank you, I will give that a go
@PPdesignandPrint: Keep in mind that for Star Seller the response time window is 24 hours (the 48 hours is for Customer Service Stats).
The move to spam advice does seem to work, BUT BE WARNED that according to Etsy "You won’t receive any new messages from that member, and they’ll be unable to reply to messages in an existing thread." Read that as from that account as a person may have more than one. https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000343128-How-to-Handle-Scams-and-Suspicious-Messages And unless something has changed you cannot mark Help Requests as spam.
