Listings Misbehaving...

I think my listings have gotten caught up in the urgent clear up operation Etsy has done to stop UK sellers offering knives.

Could I get a hand to know how many listings people can view and from what location to confirm this? I suspect they they have all been deactivated everywhere bar two listings I can still see.

Sidenote I make custom pocket knife handles for knives that are totally legal to carry under UK law so they in no way violate any Etsy policy.🤷🏻‍

I am in Australia and I can see 8 listings.  My understanding is that if they have been deactivated by Etsy you can't see them whatever your location.

I think what has happened is they have been suppressed for me being in the UK. It's a very weird feeling not being able to see your own listings. When I click on them they say "Darn, this listing is no longer available" which is a little confusing.

I’m in New Zealand and I can see eight listings. I think it would be a very good idea to set your shop location asap. maybe that will help?

It sounds like you may have been. I am in the UK and can only see 2 of your listings - the Micarta scale blanks.

I have just reset up one of the listings and can see it again now that it is live. I am going to have to run through and do this for all the defective ones. Thanks for the feedback guys it pretty much confirms my suspicions.

Sadly there will likely be a bit of loss of search ranking results and almost everything is in people's baskets.

That's life I guess.🤷🏻‍

They are not deactivated but they are no longer available to UK buyers.

Etsy has disabled anything to do with "Knife" being shipped to anyone in the UK 

so you can ship overseas,
no-one, wherever their shop is, can ship knives to a UK buyer - even legal knives, and even if you ship them with royal mails age verification

They have done this to anything "knife" related, including  antique, round ended, silver butter knives

the programme on Monday must have put the wind up them, and they have gone into overdrive

In Canada, I can only see 6 listings... but you might have sold a couple in the last couple of hours.

I have a regular customer who just contacted me trying to buy a letter opener and folding pocket penknife/ fruit knife ,  it would not let her purchase them. They are both vintage not weapons!!! But no warnings to me when I list them!!!

You can list and sell,

but not to UK buyers

they still need UK over 18 age verification, and etsy has no way to do that

the exception is a folding pocket knife, with blade less than 7.62cm (3 inches) but as etsy has no way to actually check this, they are included in the block to UK.

You could contact etsy about the pocket knife if the blade is smaller, but the others are covered under the legislation.

I have 36 items in 4 Categories that are showing as 'not available in this region' crazy as it includes Judaica which has nothing to do with knives.
