Others have also had their legitimate listings removed in error. A mod might post here to let you know they're escalating your problem.
Done, but I'm not even convinced those messages were from a human.
How in the world would even a bot think a beaded rosary is a service?
That makes ZERO sense!
Most times Etsy won't tell you why an item has been deactivated so it's kind of odd you were told it was because it's a service.
Lots of times items are deactivated because bots found them on Chinese websites, like Temu, AliExpress and others or even on eBay and Amazon.
Sometimes the pictures are on sites that the seller also sells on.
Have you done a reverse image search to see if your picture of the item was on other sites?
I was told not to post parts of the support chat here, but the "agent" 100% said that it was deactivated for being a service which was not allowed.
Edit to say: Reverse image search brought up another rosary in my shop which is similar, and nothing exact.
I am frustrated that this has not yet been addressed.
If a human person were to look at the deactivated listing it would take 5 seconds to see that it is not a prohibited item and does not show up elsewhere in a reverse image search. Come on, Etsy- keep commerce human!
I am going to take a stab in the dark and say it is because the word "prayer" is in the title? That might make a bot think it was a service, perhaps.
I see other rosary bead listings in your shop saying prayer beads and I am thinking the bots don't know how to differentiate between "action" and the "subject".
I don't know if this will help. Just a thought.
It's completely unacceptable for the policing of listings to be entirely handled by AI.
