Legal and tax information

Hi, I tried to update my legal name under "Legal and Tax information" on Etsy to fix some mistake with the name order (Given/middle/family name). I submitted it with my passport, but it's been a few days already and it's still on pending. Meanwhile, Etsy keeps emailing me that I need to submit documents to verify my taxpayer ID in order to get paid , anyone who had same problem with me and got ur solutions please share ur exp

@TemplateLifeCo   There is no shop attached to your account.

@TemplateLifeCo  you don't have an Etsy shop so there is nothing to verify.

@NanaLetha  - There was a thread started yesterday by a shop owner - they too were a "Reader". But obviously to post here in the forums they have to be attached to a shop.

Anyway their problem may have been a hack attempt, but instead of the usual forced vacation or the yellow no longer selling banner, the shop of the OP was flat out gone.

That makes it harder to help here. For example a lot of shops in India are running into issues but a quick glance at their shops doesn't reveal anything. 
So who knows what's going on.

@JMOldeVintage   India shops are having issues with their credit cards when they try to pay their bill.  One found out that for her credit card to be used she needed to contact and enable it to be used internationally.

THe other is Payoneer and that is another hot mess.

@plannerbysyaz   It takes time unfortunately with the number Etsy has to check and verify.

You could send an email and the reply back to the generic reply that you still need help to ask about the status.

Does your passport have your current address?  That can be another hurdle.
