As a seller I sent out an order exactly as ordered at this end. When the buyer received it, it was not exactly what she had ordered. When we communicated, it turned out the photos she had at her end were different to the ones I had at my end, so we were both right!
Has anyone else had this happen and how can it be resolved?
Seems virtually impossible to contact a 'human' on Etsy to discuss!
I'm a bit confused by your description of what happened.
Have they supplied a screenshot of their order details from Etsy? And that does not match what you see in your orders?
Never heard of it. Are items she is claiming she purchased more expensive than her order on your end? It could be a scam (it's ultra easy to fake a screenshot).
Ask her to ship items back to you for a refund and order canceling if the items are "wrong".
you have variations, which bring up a photo,
you should be seeing a screenshot of their actual purchase and reviews page, rather than them just going to your shop and choosing an option
Sounds very suspicious to me. Ask Etsy to call you:
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_manage_listings-callback
they should be able to see into her account as well as yours. Not that I like to point the finger, but it's quite possible your customer is just showing you fake pics to get a refund. What you're describing does not sound possible.
