Star Seller stats show I have 99% on time shipping. I downloaded the spreadsheet of data and it shows that an order was not on time. I shipped the item the same day it was ordered and i purchased the shipping label on Etsy.
Customer service messenger didn't see why the order was marked as such and said to contact this forum as it is likely a technical issue.
If Etsy support sent you here for help, usually it's because they have no clue.
Rarely does Etsy help or reply on these forums.
No one on the forums can see your stats nor tell you why that order was marked "not shipped on time".
It's on the Star seller help page:
"Etsy Support can’t make changes to your Star Seller data or manually award Star Seller badges. If you think your Star Seller score was calculated incorrectly, you can let us know in the Technical Issues forum."
Why it says to post in the technical issues forums is beyond me, because Etsy won't help and it says support can't make changes.
99% on time shipping is not going to effect your SS badge.
The forums are mainly other sellers trying to help.
Sometimes Etsy closes a thread or posts that they've sent info to "specialists" about whatever problem but from what I've read sellers might wait days or weeks for any actual help.
ETA: what is your processing time?
If you have 1 day processing time, maybe the shipped late had something to do with the time zones??
Customer Service told me to post in this "Technical Issues Forum" (he sent me a link). They said they the order was on time and my rating should be 100% but I needed to post this forum so the tech support can determine the issue.
I think CS tells everyone that same thing to post in the forums (no matter the issue) just to get rid of you because #1 they don't know the answer and/or #2 they know the "techs" won't look into it because it plainly states Etsy won't adjust changes to data to the SS.
It even states this on the info on the help pages for SS to post in technical issues, why it says this makes no sense since right before it states support won't adjust anything related to the SS.
I wouldn't worry about it, it's "Not" going to affect your SS badge.
@ADreamersCarnival: "... said to contact this forum as it is likely a technical issue." Support and the Virtual Assistant appear to be trained to send people to the forum as soon as 'Star Seller' is mentioned as they do not have the authority or ability to manually adjust Star Seller stats.
"... it shows that an order was not on time." Are you saying that the CSV has the incorrect completed / shipped date listed for that order?
I was able to get to an actual person through messenger, the "virtual assistant" was useless.
The information on the CSV is incorrect.
Did USPS accept the order the same day you shipped? Did you get the receipt saying accepted? That's the other part of shipping. The carrier has to accept the package within your processing time frame. If USPS accepted outside the time frame even though you shipped early, Etsy considers the item shipped late.
Still this has not hurt your star seller.
?
yes, the order was pick and accepted the same day it was purchased.
Get someone on chat and show them a screenshot of your transaction page and the tracking history. You should have all that if you used an Etsy label. It seems like they're making you wait while they try to escalate to the appropriate team, and when they can't, they tell you they've passed it along to them and you should hear back very soon via email. I have serious doubts the "team" in question even exists anymore, or if it does, there's maybe one person on it. Customer service of any kind seems to have left the building. Frankly, the services they provide for buyers can be handled by bots, since all they do is issue refunds anyway.
I spoke with the messenger first, took a bit to get a real person. But they are who told me to post specifically to this board. They said this is the best way to have the techs look into it.
