I have a 50% sale going on in my shop, and once I had the offer launched I noticed the sudden disappearing of all the statements under my listings - the ones reporting that one or more people had that item in their carts. That part looks quite important for the overall image of one shop, as it gives a sense of urgency to the possible buyer. I think there should be a different way to highlight that part without penalizing sellers that launch an offer.
What do you think about it?
Personally, I wish the cart thing were never there. I have run a sale on occasion to get rid of it. There are still potential customers that think they can't buy an item because it is in someone's cart.
@ChezMargotVintage That's because you have free shipping + a sale - there is no room for items in carts under the listings.
Exactly, but possibly there should be a different graphic solution - since all those situation can easily happen on the same listing.
Decrease the size of the photo? Or show fewer items on the page? I don't know how else you could do it.
Etsy sometimes removes those cart messages without notice anyway.
I wish the cart messages were never there. It's a pushy way to sell (get it while you still can) which isn't my style. I thought it was supposed to be MY business. Many still think there are none left to buy when they see that, so that's another reason to get rid of it.
I agree 100%.
