I have an item that keeps being taken off by Etsy. It is/was a Native American amber necklace with a scorpion. They sent areas to look at. I have checked the entire list of animals that are endangered and my scorpion is not on the list. Yet they allow other shops to sell scorpion jewelry. I have emailed them twice with no response back. Does anyone know how to get a response from Etsy. I feel I deserve one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
It's the amber, not the scorpion.
It's not the scorpion it's the word Amber. Give Etsy time to look at the listing and they will re-activate it if it meets their requirements.
I have finished pieces that I can no longer list because they have amber cabochons. Now maybe others can jump through the secret hoops to get their listing to stick but I have no idea what that is.
Can you list it as "golden brown botanical petrified resin" ?
That "golden brown" item would never be seen when the buyer is searching for amber. And they would find amber without a problem.
"amber cabochon jewelry" = almost 18K results
"amber cabochon jewelry" with jewelry filter = almost 2.5K results
so go for it. I just wouldn't mention bead anywhere within the same listing.
It should be reinstated once someone reviews it, but it will continue to be taken down. The bots take down many items using the word "amber" because of a lawsuit they lost involving amber, even though they are not the offending items.
