Issues with Etsy Refunds

Has anyone else had a problem with doing Etsy refunds in regards to the funds coming out of personal bank account  yet Etsy payment account showing negative the same amount?

I did a refund for a customer and had $7.60 in my Etsy payment account, after fee credits Etsy took $44.32 from my bank:

However, they now have my Etsy payment account in the negative for $44.92 (the 50 cents was from listing I just did).

I spent an hour on Etsy chat but do not think that the comprehension was there on the other end. My concern is if I get a sale it will take those funds from my negative balance, which means I will have paid twice. Here is what the agent told me: that the buyer has to choose their refund method before the negative balance is removed? Then where is the money they took from my bank?

Re: Issues with Etsy Refunds

When you get a sale, Etsy doesn't fully credit the payment it to your shop payment account until the next day.  If you don't have enough money in your Shop Payment account to cover the refund, Etsy charges your card on file.  (You must have a debit card listed)

The refund doesn't come out twice.  It all balances out in the end.

Re: Issues with Etsy Refunds

UPDATE on my previous post. Etsy resolved the issue and I want to say thank you!!! It is a relief that Etsy took care of it so quickly. My Etsy payment account is back to being positive.
