Hello, I need help with an order I got through my email. Apparently the buyer bought it with a gift card balance.
So I received the following email from Etsy
You're just a step away from a sale! Your item has been set aside by our system for the buyer, simply awaiting your confirmation. Tap the button below to ratify your sale, and you'll be redirected instantly to our order confirmation page. If any lingering doubts remain, please don't hesitate to contact our chat support team on the order confirmation page.
I clicked to confirm but it says I was blocked
Please help.
This is what I got after I clicked

Looks like it's a new version of the recent scam that's been going around to new sellers lately.
There's nothing you need to confirm when someone makes a legitimate purchase.
The reason you can't respond (blocked) is because the sender was already removed for being a scammer.
Put the message in your spam folder. Also, edit your OP and remove that live link!

STOP! This is a scammer, trying to get you to click into the link so they can steal from you. This looks like a newer scam. When you get an Order, it will appear on your Orders & Shipping Page (in the Shop Manager). Do not engage with this scammer, and Mark the Message as Spam (just so you don't get dinged for Star Seller).
Here is an Announcement re: scams (it is currently at the top of the Forum).

This was an attempted scam, that’s why Etsy blocked it. Any orders you receive will show up on your shop dashboard, on your finances/payment page and will be reflected on your shopfront. Etsy already has all of your information and so doesn’t need it to complete a sale. And the chat function is located on your dashboard, not on an order confirmation page.

@MyPetKali @You’re welcome! Any legit messages from Etsy will come through the message boards under the “from Etsy” heading, which is new.

Re: Issue with an order
AND, when you get a real sale it will show up on your dashboard under "Orders & Shipping"
Etsy NEVER needs you to do anything—send your email or your financial info—after a sale.
