Issue with Speedy Replies Percentage on Star Seller

I received 22 messages from June through August, and I did not respond to only 1 of them within 24 hours.  The one I didn’t respond to was a guy who scammed me and Etsy (Tim, who is in Canada and said he never received packages, but in reality, he just had to pay the extra fee for customs, which he did after we both refunded him for 2 separate orders) he sent 3 separate messages and I thought I responded to all 3, but I missed one.  I should have full-star seller status for September.  Can you please let me know what can be done about this?  

I contacted support on 9/2 and asked that this be escalated to a manager but I have not heard back.  I've received additional messages since that time and I'm still stuck at 94%.

Try marking the message as spam. Otherwise nothing you can do.  Etsy won't change an SS score for failure to answer a new message.

BTW edit your thread to remove personal information.  Not a good idea to mention names.

Etsy is not here.,  We are your fellow sellers.

@NaturistaMonarch: Unfortunately Etsy has been pretty adamant that you need to reply to (or mark as SPAM) the FIRST Message of EVERY NEW INCOMING THREAD within 24 hours. It does not matter who sent it, the subject matter, if it is a duplicate or blank or anything else.

Not sure if this still works, but it used to be that if the unanswered new thread is not a Help Request marking an unanswered new thread as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two (but not retroactively) if the original message was within the current star seller period. BUT BE WARNED that according to Etsy "You won’t receive any new messages from that member, and they’ll be unable to reply to messages in an existing thread. It is worth a shot - and do let us know if it did (and if the unanswered new thread was a Help Request or not). Star Seller stats (and the CSV file) seem to be updated only once per day so there may be an additional delay before you know.
