I'm having issues with my Shipping Dates lately. I always ship my packages on time, {within my handling time frame}, but on Most of the packages I've mailed lately, I'm seeing a message in Red, up where I click on the date of Mailing. An Example: 'May arrive late, delivery June 11 - 15, Buyer expects it June 11 -13'. I ship 99% of my packages by USPS Ground Advantage and last I checked that does take at least a couple of days to get from A to Z....
Then I'll go to make a label, {order from Same day}, and it is just fine with the correct dates.....
Did I miss a Memo or is this a glitch {Hopefully}.
I see that a lot too, I just ignore it. I have a handling time of 3-5 days, but almost always ship the next day. So how could they be telling me I am not on time?
Thank you so much FamilyCeramicBisque for the information! I'm seriously thinking it is a glitch. Just hope it gets fixed soon.
I get that even when shipping out an hour after the order came in. It is Etsy. It isn't you.
(If you use Pirate Ship, you don't see those nastygram notices.)
In the label? That is generated at the time you are creating the label but does not relfect what a buyer sees,.
As long as the item is shipped and accepted by USPS (in the US) then you are fine. It will arrive within the proposed time frame for Ground or Priority unless there is something that happens during transt. Then USPS updates the expected arrival time.
THe main focus here is getting the item to the post office and accepted within the processing time frame you have,
Thank you so much GrandmaLaurieThings & JDTotesnDolls for the information! Greatly appreciate it.
I've decided to go with the 'it's a glitch' and hope it gets worked out.
I see that all the time despite having a perfect shipping record. I think it's just a general heads up that covers any part of the country that has slower processing due to tornadoes, floods, wildfires, excessive heat, blizzards, transit issues, worker strikes, etc. I mean, there's something happening pretty much every day somewhere in the US.
