I am having an issue when I want to Renew an item and before clicking renew, make a small change - such as move my photos around etc.
I press Renew and it comes up like usual, telling me there's a $0.20 fee etc and I have to confirm I'm happy with that and click again.
Then... another dialogue box is appearing stating
"This page is asking you that you confirm you want to leave -- Information you've entered may not be saved" with two options Leave Page or Stay on Page.
The first time I clicked Stay on Page and then to get off, I had to click Renew again (assuming it hadn't renewed the first time) and it had so I just ended up renewing it again.
The second time I just clicked to Leave Page and it appeared that the renew had worked and the changes had saved. So it only renewed the once.
Is anyone else getting this dialogue box?
PS: I am using my desktop (not the app) and am on a FireFox browser
This is a browser issue, not caused by Etsy or the new listing form, I see the same and use Firefox on Windows. I have always clicked leave, and like yourself, the listings renew with the newly added details or changes.

Thanks for confirming this.
@GalleryAntiques: You are mostly correct - that alert is generated when sites have hooked into the "beforeunload" event of that page and is triggered by leaving the page. Not all browsers handle the event the same.
Usually a site uses that event to check if all "edits" have been saved and if yes cancels the alert.
This is happening on chrome as well. @BlaqKat not really understanding - are you saying there is nothing Etsy can do to prevent this??? Would seem sorta strange since I use chrome on the old listing form and didn't receive this ridiculous counterintuitive message?
@AmoreTreasure: This is absolutely a coding issue on Etsy's end - presumably there is code that checks if there are unsaved edits when leaving the page and if there are none the alert should be cancelled.
It is possible to disable this alert in the browser, but only globally so am not sure that would be a good idea.
We use Windows 10, Firefox, and also have to click Leave Page to renew
Seems that I do not have such a problem with my Windows 10 and Firefox, so can't to confirm
I use Safari and am having the same problem. Never happened with the old form.
@BlaqKat so according to @BagmakerSupply above, it IS and ETSY issue so looks like you have the wrong solution highlighted for this thread! The "solution" is Etsy needs to fix their code.
I edited an expired listing then wanted to publish changes and got the ridiculous leave page warning me changes may not be saved. I knew (through posts here) that I had to select the 'leave page' - usually used any and everywhere else to just go back without any changes. I got a message saying that changes could not be saved and to try again. I did that and....got two new listings published so had to deactivate one. New listing page is so BADLY set up.
I get the same warning when renewing, with changes, using Edge. This started a few weeks ago.
