Issue "All payment methods for this shop are temporarily unavailable."

Hey,

I'm being contacted by potential buyers about this error message "All payment methods for this shop are temporarily unavailable.". 

I've checked and it's true, people cannot check out. As far as I know the bank account and info were verified. I haven't looked up the shop in a long time cause I wasn't making sales but that explains why. I've looked up the other messages in the forum but no proper help  was given without the intervention of Etsy Team?

Instead of putting a shop on vacation, which renders the shop and listings invisible, Etsy seems to be taking a less aggressive action and pausing all payment methods, which leaves the shop visible.  According to threads in the forum, this seems to be happening when there are ID or banking issues in the shop.

I learn something every day, I hope they will keep it this way, would have loved to have payement methods suspended rather than my shop.

I’ve been on this predicament for over a week now. Shop was suspended because of unverified tax id. I submitted what they needed, they told me all was good but I guess forgot to reactivate the payments. Now I’ve called and been referred to the Etsy team 4 times and I haven’t heard anything.

Anybody have this issue resolved? If so, how long did it take? I was told it was a technical issue on Etsys end and was given a ticket number to reference. I keep reaching out through the help chat but I don't get a response. I'm incredibly frustrated.

I am having the same issue, opened a new shop a week and half ago but payments are not available. Contacted etsy chat and was told it was glitch that the technical team are working on, still not working. Is this working for you yet?

Yes – the issue was resolved within 9 days following the initial ticket submission and a follow-up or two to check on the status. Good luck!!!

Hello everyone, I had the same issue (after opening my shop, my first customer was not able to select any payment methods) and went on Etsy customer service chat and they fixed it within a few minutes.

If you are not seeing any sales, try logging out or using a different device, put one of your items in a shopping cart and then see if you are able to select a payment option or get a message that says "No payment methods are available for this shop." Hope that helps!
