It's a SCAM. Was it in the "from etsy" section of your inbox?
Etsy doesn't do QR codes or take it off etsy, and you don't have to "verify" anything.
They are trying to trick you into divulging your financial info and will then drain your bank account.

No. Etsy would not need to send you a qr code in chat.
No, it is not legit. It is a scam. DO not scan the code, click the link, give them your email, or your bank details. Mark the message as spam.

If you have a genuine sale, it will appear on your Dashboard

Mark it as spam and do not respond.
They usually target brand new shops, because they are more likely not to know how things work. It is unusual to see that particular message sent to a long-term seller.
Definitely a scam, I received same notice.
