Is there something specific that needs to be done to get shop feeds to update?

I have listed quite a few new items over the last month and only one showed up in my shop feed (I'm using a different account to follow the feed on the buyers app). Do I need to start from scratch with the listing and not copy/tweak? I have customers waiting for specific items and they are following my shop, but they aren't aware that the requested items have been added. It would take too much time to try to read through all of the communications to find them and update them that way.

I've contacted Etsy twice over the last 2 weeks and both times I was told my inquirey was being escalated, but I haven't heard from them yet and no ticket has been made from either chat conversation.  Any suggestions from anyone? Is there something specific I'm supposed to do to get the new items to show up in the feed?

Thanks in advance!

Not quite sure how the following feed algorithm works. Bumping for someone who might If it is a just several specific customers you might be better off letting them know via an Instagram post /DM. You can send a direct message and the new item might garner interest from other possible buyers.

@ShirasGarden: I don't think that there is any guarantee that new listings or sales will be feed into feeds.

Your items are ins search and can be found.

Checking your feed from another account is not exactly a smart idea.  First Etsy know it is you looking at your own items.  They won't show your own items.  Even incognito is really not incognito though it works a little better.

There is no real advantage to tracking your items by watching them.

If the buyers have contacted you, you can tell them the items are up or even send them the link.  As long as they contacted you first.

But your items are in search so perhaps they are not looking at this moment.

You may wish to change your titles.     You are starting all titles with a  'x choice of...' that buyers are not going t use in search.  Variegate Blue and White Tzitzit would be a better choice followed by size.

Chances are Etsy is not going to answer you as the system is working the way it should.  Your items are in search.  They are findable.  Some tweaking may help but there is nothing else Etsy can offer that would help.

@ShirasGarden: To add to @PrimFun excellent advice you might want to also considering setting up a freemailing list (like MailChimp for example) and have the interested customers sign up for it. Then you just send a notification direct to them.

Re: Is there something specific that needs to be done to get shop feeds to update?

Thank you everyone. According to Etsy, new items are supposed to show in your shop feed. People follow shops to see what's new. Loyal customers want to be notified when something is listed. Your ideas are all good, but I want the customers who are interested in getting notifications via my shop feed to be able to get it. Something isn't working right and if I'm not doing something properly, I want to know what I need to change. If there's a glitch with Etsy, I hope they will fix it.

Thanks again!

Etsy said they are aware of the situation. They are adding my information to the information they have already collected. I wasn't told when they anticipate the problem will be fixed (only that they are aware of the problem).

Re: Is there something specific that needs to be done to get shop feeds to update?

@ShirasGarden I reported this issue back in August of 2022. Support gave me the boiler plate response: our engineers are aware that the Updates feed doesn't update with new listings, etc...  It doesn't seem like there's any urgency to fix the problem though.

@JDTotesnDolls if a buyer favorites a shop, they are supposed to receive a notification in the Updates section (the bell icon in the top menu of the user profile section) when that seller lists a new item. However, this feature has been broken for months--possibly longer. So customers aren't consistently receiving these updates. In some cases they aren't being notified of items going on sale as well. As a seller that has a large following / shop favorite-ers, this is concerning because it potentially affects a shop's conversion rate.
