International Shipping estimated delivery dates are not accurate.

I ship from Canada to the rest of the world on a regular basis. International surface is the option many buyers are making because it is half the cost of the other options. This shipping option takes from 4 - 12 weeks to be delivered, especially to destinations like Australia and New Zealand. Yet, for some reason, my customers are being given an estimated delivery date of 6 weeks.

This is causing many of my customers to think that their orders are lost and to request a refund when this false expectation is not met. Can we please have a more accurate delivery date on our orders? or better yet, a date range?

I send a message with every order giving the accurate delivery range but this is not what they see when the look at their order. They see Etsy's artificial estimated delivery date. I am tired of having to try to calm down upset customers unnecessarily.

Please, Etsy?

This is still a problem. I had another buyer message me today asking where their order was. Can we get this fixed please?!

I agree, I have recently decided to make a policy change to my Etsy store to not permit surface international shipping as customers message regarding the location of their item, however this shipping option does not include tracking and takes between 4-12 weeks for the item to arrive. All future items shipped from my store will be sent using shipping options that include tracking.

Etsy uses the shippers times, whether it's surface, or air mail
